I am Coming Home: ENDGAME SPOILERS LIKE WOW GUYS
Matt really didn't have time to process the fact that he'd been dead five years before an updated version of his armor was being shoved at him and the wizard guy was snapping at him to put it on. Hell he'd barely had time to process that Kate was standing next to him before they were getting ready for battle. The only thing keeping him from losing his mind and senses was the fact he had one hand buried in Lucky's fur. His mind was racing thinking of everything and everyone he might have missed. The person most on his mind was Clint Barton.
They had been flirting on and off for months and now any chance he had might have been taken away by some insane purple grape with delusions of grander. And for a born and bred New Yorker like Matt that was a little bit too much to take. So when the portal in front of the three of them opened with a hiss, Matt Murdock, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen didn't hesitate, but charged right through ready to be an Avenger.

Matt comes out swinging using Lucky's barks as a stronger echo location then his own radar sense. "Trust the dog," Strange had told him and so he was even though Matt and magic weren't exactly friends at this point. He is like a blur as he takes down the creatures going after Clint and then protects his back. "I'd take a minute to say how weird this was but I'm also trying not to die right now so.....yeah," he says aiming a kick at another creature. "Also...that is way too much leather for you to be wearing...."

"Things got a little dark in the five years everyone was gone." He says licking his lips and tasting the copper of blood he's pretty sure is his own.
The battle drags on and there is a moment of panic as he sees Captain Danvers going at it over the gauntlet with Thanos. His heart sinks as Thanos slides the glove on, Tony going at it with him, he's pushing his blade through someone, when his sharp eyes catch the exchanged between The Doc and Tony, then Toney snaps.... the dying body on his blade starts to turn to dust...

Matt starts coughing as his current breath sucks in a lungful of the dust of the creature he was fighting. "The hell," he growls in surprise as his head spins around as more ships and creatures turn to dust. "Barton what's going on...can you see Kate anywhere...there are too many heartbeats and smells to focus on for me to find her."

He moves so he's standing shoulder to shoulder with Matt, His eyes fall on Tony and he scrubs his hands across his face. "The fucking idiot..." He says a few tears falling down his face... "Tony's not gonna make it." He says knowing what death looks like, he takes Matt's hand and pulls him to where the others are gathering, Kate coming up to Clint's side the young archer hugging him then Lucky.
No sass, no jokes, not now.

Matt too knows what death sounds like. He can hear now that he's focusing that Stark's heart is slowing down and his breathing is getting softer and stuttering. The first hero....the one who took that step that let the rest of them be standing here today is dying and Matt, who has seen more death in his young life than he cares to admit to isn't sure how to feel about that. He bows his head and starts softly saying the rosary for the dying man.

Clint takes Matt's hand lacing their fingers together, his breathing ragged, the adrenaline fading, he thinks there are probably broken ribs, and maybe something up with his lung, now that the action is dying down. But all he can do is squeeze the Devil of Hell's Kitchen hand.

Matt finishes his prayer and crosses himself with his free hand not wanting to let go of Clint's. The battle field is completely silent even though he knows there are people behind him all mourning as deeply as he himself was. He squeezes Clint's hand gently. "We won."

He looks at Matt for a moment his heart rate picking up a little, he leans in and presses his lips to the other man's as first kisses go it's soft, chaste, and lingering.

Matt froze but only for a split second because honestly the kiss was a complete relief, He'd been getting tried of the dancing around each other and they had been apart for five years. He didn't want to wait anymore. He leans in trying not to tremble as he deepens the kiss.

He needs a breath soon, a slight wheeze escaping him as he leans his forehead against Matt's. "I never thought I'd get a chance to actually do that." He admits he probably needs medical but he's ignoring that to stay wrapped up with Matt.

Matt strokes the back of Clint's neck as they press their foreheads together. "This has been one hell of a day I'll give you that," he muttered softly. "I still can't believe I lost five years. Karen and Foggy are gonna be pissed at me."

It's not long before Stephen is opening portals for people to get home, the ones who aren't too injured, Clint starts to fight with Stephen over going to medical.
"A building fell on you Clint... and you climbed up and ran the gauntlet... your ears are bleeding." The doctor snaps in front of Matt.

Matt knows better than anything or anyone how painful having a building dropped on you can be. He still has nightmares about it or he did....time is weird now. "I'll patch him up," he says firmly, "doctor we just need some chill time okay."

The one-eyed dog winks and salutes and goes through the portal with Matt and Clint.
The Brooklyn apartment is clean, but a few more weapons then there used to be. It looks like Clint hadn't been home for a while.
"ugh, I feel gross."

Matt made a face. "First thing shower," he said to Clint firmly, "I'm covered in alien and people dust and you had a building dropped on you.....we need to clean up before I can patch you up."

Matt strips off his armor mourning the lost of another new version. This had apparently been magicked to hell and back as well, which annoyed him even more. Just once he'd like to hang onto his armor for more than a few minutes. He winces as muscles he hasn't used in five years protest more moving.

Matt managed a smile and a sweet return kiss. "Sorry Hawk," he said affectionately, "second nature at this point even with the gap. I do need to clean out my nose though. Might need some sensory dep too just to even out."

Matt uses the touches to reorient himself to the world around him and to Clint in particular. He mirrors the touches careful to not touch too hard when he can feel scars and bruises. Once he cleans out his nose he plans on relearning Kate and Clint's scents as much a he knows Kate will be cranky when Matt gets all cat like on her.

"Don't care," Matt replied putting his nose right in Clint's collar bone, "seriously Clint I don't. If I'd been in your shoes I would have lost my shit too. You and Kate and Karen and Foggy are my family. Without you I don't know what I'd do."
