What the Hell Happened: aka Drunk Science equals bitty Avengers

 Matt moved around his apartment like he knew where everything was which in a sense he did. He knew Clint was going to be back from training soon and would want dinner. Then the plan was to patrol the Kitchen and see where the night took them. He heard the door open and called out. "Hey birdman you are actually early...please tell me the tower didn't blow up."

"I can grab Bruce," Matt says, "I honestly thought Tony would never stop talking. At least we know where his motor mouth came from."

Clint laughs softly, sounds like a plan. He says picking up Tony easily. "I'll put Tony in the top buck." He's happy to see that Pepper had taken his weapons out of the spare room already.

He sets Tony on the top bunk, pulling the blankets up over him. Brushing his fingers through the dark unruly hair.

The boy only stirring a little. "You ever think about doing this for real."

Matt carefully tucks Bruce in the bottom bunk gently rubbing his back when the boy whimpers a little bit. "You mean adopting kids of our own," he asks softly, "well yeah I have. Heck we should be able to get legally married soon so we'd have that in our corner too."

Clint smiles a little leaning against the bunk watching the kids for a moment. "I've thought about it too... you saying you want to marry Hornhead?" He teases a little as he moves out of the room.

"I've been thinking about it," Matt admits following Clint out of the bedroom and quietly pulling the door over just a bit to block some of the hallway light. "I mean we've been together how long now?"

"A year tomorrow." He smiles a little rocking on his heals a little, "So forever for people like us." He teases slightly.

He moves over and kisses Matt softly, "You'd be a good dad, me no so much." He shrugs a little.

"Shut up," Matt says kissing Clint back, "you'd be a great dad...better then anyone I know. We should seriously talk about doing it. I mean if you want a commitment like that."

"We can talk about it..." He smiles a little, "We can talk about getting married too." He says smile getting a little bigger.

"We'll have to figure it out with the whole hero'ing thing..." He says but he's moving over to Matt and pulling him in for a kiss.

"I'm sure we can work it out," Matt says, "maybe get a house outside the city that people don;t know about and one of us can float between the two or something."

"That could work, lets focus on getting team science back to grown ups, then the wedding..." He laughs a little pulling Matt over to the couch and putting on the episode of Masterchef they missed last week during a jail break.

About ten minutes in the sound of little feet are creeping out of the bedroom, toward the couch.

"I can't sleep..." the bitty Tony says looking less confident then he had when he first came in. "I had a bad dream, i know they aren't real..." He spills out quickly, "But it was scary... and being scared isn't logical..." He rambles looking at his toes.

Matt smiles and slides off the couch so he is kneeling in front of Tony. "Hey, dreams aren't supposed to be logical buddy. They are the way they are to help your brain work stuff out and make you feel better in the morning. He smiles. "How about you cuddle with Clint and me on the couch for a little bit okay."

He picks the little boy up and settles him on the couch between himself and Clint. "Better?"

Clint settles his arm around the two of them making sure they are cuddled up, and happy it's Masterchef and Chopped night, and not Dog Cops and Hoarders.

Tony looks at both the men looking a little awkward for a five year old. "Dad says if you get scared from dreams... you're not using your brain..." He frowns looking at his fingers and not at Clint or Matt.

"Hey kiddo, I'm going to tell you something... okay?" He says looking at the little boy. "I have some very scary dreams that have made me very scared, so has Matt, and so has your dad... everyone deals with them differently, everyone needs cuddles sometimes..." He says easily.

"Mom and Dad say cuddles are for babies... and I'm not a baby anymore..." Little Tony points out, "But Mr. Jarvis gives me cuddles and reads to me sometimes." He says voice going a little soft.

"Well Mr. Jarvis is a very good man, and your mom and dad are just confused sometimes, they are good people."

"Mom's and Dad's have a lot on their minds," Matt agrees, "and they do their best to take care of you but sometimes they have to make hard choices their kids might not understand. But they always love you no matter what."

Tony nods a little but he still looks unsure but he gets more comfortable between Clint and Matt, watching the cooking show with them.

Soon Bruce pads out woken up by the talking and his missing roommate. "Is something wrong?" Bruce asks rubbing his eyes and climbing up on the couch... "Can I watch too?"

"Yeah, we can all watch, everyone loves Gordon Ramsey." Clint laughs taking Bruce into his lap and leaning against Matt until he's almost laying down, Bruce on his chest, Tony moving into Matt's lap.

Matt wraps his arms around Tony and smiles at how the little version of Iron Man cuddles up to him. He does wince every once and a while when Gordon's words are bleeped, but it's nice to be cuddled up like this....almost like a family.

The boys fall asleep on the two men but only half dozing, Clint starts to doze a little against Matt once Master Chef ends.

Lucky squeezing in with Clint and Bruce for more cuddles, in his half sleep Clint wonders if he and Matt could ever actually have this.
